It’s safe to say the Knicks are feeling satisfied with their trade for OG Anunoby. In the first 10 games since he arrived from Toronto, New York rolled with an 8-2 record, and Anunoby has been historically good.
While Anunoby posted an absurd +111 net rating through his first five games as a Knick, making him the first player in NBA history to post a plus/minus above 100 through five games with a team, he’s now accomplished a similar feat in 10 games. As StatMamba highlighted, Anunoby has a net rating of +173 since joining the Knicks, etching his name in the record books as the highest plus/minus for any player through their first 10 games with a franchise.

The difference has been staggering for the Knicks, and Anunoby has posted averages of 15.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting 51.9% from the field and 43.5% from beyond the arc. He’s also averaging 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks per game while logging a career-high 36.7 minutes per game since heading to New York.
The Knicks’ 8-2 mark over that 10-game span has also pushed them up the Eastern Conference standings. They currently sit as the No. 5 seed at 25-17, just a half-game behind the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they still have the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers (both 24-18) right on their tail.
