Eli Manning is likely to be the starting quarterback for the New York Giants against the Philadelphia Eagles for Monday night’s game. Daniel Jones has an ankle strain and is currently experiencing soreness, though no surgery will be needed.
Jones took all 672 offensive snaps since replacing Manning as the starter in Week 3. He won his first two career starts but has lost eight straight as the Giants (2-10) were eliminated from the playoffs.
Jones is the Giants QB, but Eli Manning’s temporary return is getting support from an interesting group of gridiron fans. The exotic dancers at Rick’s Cabaret New York, the gentlemen’s club known to be a favorite with pro athletes, are sharing their thoughts on Eli Manning’s return.
“I’m glad he will start the game. Don’t be surprised if he throws for three touchdowns,” gushed Rick’s Cabaret girl Kristina.
“Eli Manning deserves respect—he won two Super Bowls, remember?” said Rick’s Cabaret girl Camille. “I think he still has the skills—he was an elite player. He will have a great game.”
Rick’s Cabaret girl Tanya agreed. “Believe me, he doesn’t like sitting on the bench. If his career is really coming to an end, he wants to go out with an impressive performance. I think he can do it.”
There was a dissenting opinion from Rick’s Cabaret girl Diana. “Look, Eli Manning had his time, but that was in the past. No disrespect, but I don’t think he will play better than Daniel Jones has so far this season.”
Manning is 38, and is on the final year of his contract. He has given no indication of whether he will retire at season’s end or play for another team.
