
Philly cheesesteak icon Tony Luke’s is now open at 6 Flatbush Ave. in Downtown Brooklyn. New York magazine critic Adam Platt says about their cheesesteak, “This is a nice, dense, tightly wound sandwich … You can eat it on the go.” He recommends provolone cheese over the traditional yellow Cheez Whiz.
Tony Luke’s was founded in 1992 in Philadelphia and has stores in five states. They hope to open four more in New York City area.
